Job Description

Seeking an Accounting Administrator to join our world class team in Cottonwood Heights, UT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Accounting Associate will primarily be responsible for cash application and cash/check deposit duties in the Regional office.

Works efficiently and effectively with Corporate, District and Branch personnel to assure cash is being applied timely and accurately

Will be the cash application expert in the Region ? trains District and Branch personnel as needed regarding how to use the system, processes and procedures, etc.

Assures all daily, weekly and monthly deadlines are met in the cash applications process

Complies with established company criteria for applying cash

Compile weekly and monthly reports for management to review ? provide analysis commentary

Determines Districts / Branches / Lines of Business that are falling behind in applying cash and comes up with plans to get back on track

Determines root cause issues for cash application problems ? proposes solutions to root cause issues

Processes refund requests

Research and reconcile unidentified cash and credits on most difficult accounts or as needed when Districts / Branches are not performing

Performs daily check coding

Deposits Construction / Modernization / Other checks daily

Assists Accounting Department with administrative functions

Research projects and account reconciliation as directed

Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Experience with Accounts Receivable and/or cash applications

Advanced Excel user (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.) preferred

Oracle experience preferred

Demonstrate a ?can do? attitude, have high energy, strong work ethic, acute attention to detail and be very process oriented

Capable of finding and resolving problems

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work and collaborate with employees and customers within and outside the regional office

Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Ability to handle high volume of work efficiently

Two years? experience working in a fast paced accounting office environment
