JOB SUMMARYLeads large Finance programs and process improvement
programs, combining extensive hands-on experience with change
management and techniques for problem-solving with a strong drive
for results. Designs and develops large Finance programs and
manages the teams and resources who are responsible for the
successful delivery and adherence of the programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManages teams who are
responsible for the delivery of multiple large Finance projects and
programs. Serves as the primary contact and escalation point for
any staffing, bandwidth, resource, or delivery issues within
relevant programs. May provide support in assigning resources
(guest resources and Subject Matter Experts) to
projects/programs.Designs and develops finance programs utilizing
project management disciplines. Ensures successful project delivery
that is in line with the broader goals and objectives of the
program. Identifies organizational change management impacts.
Provides successful oversight of execution activities to ensure
program adoption and adherence. Provides the processes and tools
needed by teams across all programs enabling successful program
implementation and delivery.Designs specific project plans
including timelines, business cases, and resources ensuring design
signoff by executive leadership/sponsorship to the program.Supports
Sr Director and leadership in strategic analysis, project scoping,
and approach definition. May provide consultation on complex
large-scale projects that integrate into an organized program.
Participates in process improvement efforts.Ensures regulatory and
compliance policy is adhered to in the programs and related
operational risks are explicitly considered and managed in their
implementation.Produces effective progress reports and
communication mechanisms for the program to keep senior leadership
appraised of the status, major risks and issues, scope changes,
budgets, headcount and milestone achievements or misses, including
leadership of restructuring costs and transition to the
SSC's.Manages resource allocations and profiles across programs and
teams ensuring appropriate resources are adequately distributed.
Implements metrics to measure all programs finance benefits,
quality, and customer satisfaction. Drives standardization of
business/financial processes through the programs. Provides
guidance on consistent application of project management
methodologies, ensuring successful delivery of projects/programs
consistent with strategic plans.Collaborates with cross functional
teams to manage and communicate interdependencies. Leads and
develops an effective team through communication, performance
management, development plans and rewards and recognition.Drives
technology implementation and coordinates effective testing,
go-live and stabilization independently or as part of a wider
transformation. Provides a governance structure around the program.
Ensures accountability and enables the predictability of the
outcomes of each initiative. Performs other duties as
assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESProvides formal supervision to
individual employees within single functional or operational area.
Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment,
selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and
termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next
level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors
appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including
overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the
company's values. Manages 3rd party project delivery resources/team
(typically larger, more experienced team). Responsible for
identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and
motivating team members.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year
college or university in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA
is a plus. Minimum 8-10 years of related experience with 5 years of
direct experience from a reputable firm.
Strong program management experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESCPA, CMA, CA, CFA preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to comprehend, analyze, and interpret
the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively
to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals,
speeches and articles using distinctive style. Excellent
presentation and communication skills. Ability to make effective
and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees,
clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate
and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and
client groups to take desired action.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGERequires in-depth knowledge of financial terms
and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and
reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most
complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.
Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Approves
and oversees department budget.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve advanced problems and deal with a
variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level
analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in
developing strategic solutions. Draws upon the analysis of others
and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the
company.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIESStrong computer skills, including
specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook,
PowerPoint, etc.).
Strong business acumen and management principles involved in cross
functional planning, resource allocation, leadership and
coordination of people and resources. Broad Solution Architecture
knowledge and skills.
