Job Description:

Schedule: Mon - Fri Flex Overview: Responsible for performing a variety of Human Resource support duties. Maintains record keeping system including the Human Resource database and the Lawson HR System. Processes payroll change forms, and tracks and reports payroll information. Maintains time card records.Assists in informing new employees of Human Resource policies, paperwork, and programs as needed. Completes assigned reporting functions involving weekly, monthly and yearly termination, hire, and transfer data. Assists in posting job openings. Processes employment income verifications. Responsible for maintaining personnel files and related regulatory requirements. Acts as a point of contact for the department. Performs general office support functions and assists area personnel as necessary. Responsibilities:

  • Assumes responsibility for all administrative and clerical duties
  • Assists with questions and problems courteouslyand promptly.
  • Coordinates with branches and related departments as required. Answers questions and provides assistance.
  • Orders and receives supplies.
  • Works in coordination with outside vendors.
  • Assumesresponsibility for inputting and filing sensitive employee data
  • Inputting Payroll Change Forms, terminations and other sensitive employee information in the designated program.
  • Keeps all employee files maintained and organized.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing andmaintaining effective business relations with members, vendors, and tradeprofessionals.
  • Assists with questions and problems courteously and promptly.
  • Maintains the Credit Union's professionalreputation.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing andmaintaining effective working relations with Credit Union personnel and with management.
  • Assists and supports Department personnel.
  • Coordinates with related departments and obtains or conveys information as needed.
  • Keeps management informed of area activities andof any significant problems.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties asrequired or assigned.
  • Keeps work area clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Completes special projects as assigned. Qualifications: Training/Education/Certification:
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Additional training and experience preferredRequired Knowledge:
    • Thorough knowledge of AFCU Policies and Procedures
    • Knowledge of systems such as Lawson, CS Air etc
    • Ability to perform secretarial andclerical duties with speed and accuracy without immediate and constantsupervisionExperience Required:
      • Prior experience helpful, particularly in afinancial environment.Skills/Abilities:
        • Good time management, planning and organizational skills.
        • Public relations and excellent member service skills.
        • Able to communicate complex information clearly.
        • Attentive to detail.
        • Willing to learn and apply new knowledge.
        • Able to coordinate well with other departments and personnel.
        • Ability tooperate all related computer applications.
        • Strong typingand computer application skills
        • Ability to applycommon sense understanding in order to carry out instructions.
