Job Description:
Sr. Manager, Operations for Stryker Corporation in Salt Lake
City, UT to manage a highly-regulated production line and related processes,
including leading a production team with responsibility for quality,
service and cost of a medical device production processes (20%). Facilitate
manufacturing operations, including quality, project management,
manufacturing engineering, and medical device assembly and production (15%).
Perform continuous improvement projects, including medical device
design, process and vendor changes, production value stream mapping and line
layout design, and risk assessment and mitigation plans (5%). Develop and lead
capacity analysis, including cost modeling, supplier assessments,
staffing models, quality risk mitigation, and innovation strategy development
(20%). Represent products and processes in front of regulatory bodies,
including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and British Standards
Institution (BSI) (5%). Develop talent strategy in the areas of recruitment,
retention, and education for the medical device industry (5%). Develop and
maintain structure for the operations group, including identifying
appropriate talent, developing job descriptions, objectives, key performance
indicators and performance goals (10%). Define business unit and site
strategic plans and objectives (10%). Deliver departmental talent reviews to
identify internal career development paths, succession, and attract best
in class external talent (10%). Requires: Bachelor's degree or foreign
education equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical
Engineering, or Industrial Management and Technology plus ten (10) years of
manufacturing operations experience, including quality, project management,
manufacturing engineering, and medical device assembly and production.
