a Senior Data Engineer in the Fraud team, you'll work very closely
with ML Engineers and Data Scientists to create advanced machine
learning solutions to recognize risky transactions for Galileo's
clients and their customers--even before they do. You'll be a key
member of the team building the industry's next-generation risk and
fraud solutions. You will build an end to end Machine Learning
training data pipeline in AWS. You will be involved in building a
rich feature set for ML models and also help build tools for model
deployment and monitoring. What you'll do:
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
- Assemble large, complex feature sets that meet functional /
non-functional business requirements
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction,
transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data
sources using SQL and AWS 'big data' technologies
- Work with ML Engineers on retraining data pipeline from
Sagemaker
- Help deliver next-level metrics, monitoring, visualization,
alert and tooling to give Data Scientists and Engineering Leaders
deep visibility into the health of the services across all
environments
- Work in a collaborative manner with other engineers, product
managers, data scientists etc to build comprehensive solutions
quickly with high quality
- Be a champion of customer-focused quality by defining and
working with others to drive world-class service availability and
quality
- Partner with experts in product strategy and management to lead
the industry in risk and fraud solutions What you must have to
succeed:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a quantitative field (Computer
Science, Software Engineering, etc.) -
- 3+ years of experience working as a data engineer
- Have worked on AWS cloud services like Athena, EMR, EC2, Glue,
Kinesis, Redshift, RDS, Lambda, S3
- Experience with stream-processing systems such as Storm,
Spark-Streaming, etc.
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools
such as Airflow
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting
languages such as Python
- Experience with big data tools such as Spark, Kafka, Kinesis
etc.

- Excellent communication and a team player - Good to Have:
- Understanding of REST APIs
- Experience with LookML (Google Looker), Snowflake highly
