Biomerics operates under a certified ISO 13485:2016 quality system and is FDA-registered.We are seeking an HR Manager to join our Biomerics team!Job Description: Are you a self-motivated Human Resources Manager with at least 3+ years of HR management experience, 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, and exceptional interpersonal skills? As HR Manager you will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise. You will play a key role in the success of our organization by offering guidance on recruitment, onboarding, terminations, performance management, employee relations, payroll, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and management.Roles and Responsibilities Include:Works with and reports challenges to the VP of Human Resources and PresidentImplement and administer employee policiesAt the direction of the VP of Human Resources; administer and coordinate health, dental, life, 401k, etc. benefits; including coordinating with employees on FMLA or work-related illness absences for reimbursement of insurance premiums.Carrier and broker relationships, annual enrollment, reporting, and billingAdminister the FMLA program, by keeping accurate records and ongoing communication with employees, and supervisorsAssist employees with open enrollment, benefit questions, and payroll-related issues, including paystub credentials, and PTO balance discrepancies.Assists with 401k enrollments and website account accessTimecard review and processing of bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employeesProvide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issuesSupport the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experienceAssist Employees and Management with employee issues and concerns.Initiates one-on-one interactions with employees by walking manufacturing floors, talking with employees, taking suggestions/complaints/concerns, and developing a plan for improvementListen, mediate, and make suggestions and decisions regarding work-related disputes to find an acceptable resolutionInvestigate employee complaints including harassment, bullying, and discriminationAssist Manufacturing Managers/Supervisors with employee discipline including preparation of termination and severance lettersProactive recruiting assistance; post positions for the company and screen applicantsOnboard new employees and maintain employee records including management of I-9 forms and ensuring complianceHandle OSHA requirements, employee safety, and related trainingAssist and organize event planning at the facilityTrain and provide support to HR team membersMaintain updated Employee HandbookWork closely with the Safety Coordinator in responding to on-the-job accidents/illnessesWrite and update job descriptions as new positions are created or as neededAssist office staff with administrative tasksRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related disciplineMinimum 3 to 5+ years experience in Human Resources (medical device or manufacturing/production industry experience is a plus!)Expertise in HR policies and proceduresKnowledge and a good understanding of labor lawsStrong knowledge of hiring processesUnderstanding of HR best practices and current regulationsSound judgment and problem-solving skillsCustomer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretionProficient with MS Office SuitePayroll experience for 50 to 500 employeesExcellent communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsPHR or SPHR certification is a plusBiomerics offers the following benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Vacation Days, 9 Paid Holidays, 401k, Onsite Fitness FacilityPlease, No Recruitment Agency calls or emails (we are not using recruitment services for this or any other role posted).
