Job Description Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect, clean, and maintain food preparation areas and equipment to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices Ensure food is stored and cooked at proper temperatures Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking quality, keeping track of expiration dates, and rotating stock Follow the brand’s standards of quality control, portion sizes, and cooking methods Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to support smooth service periods Follow the brand’s recipes and guidelines for food preparation and presentation Close the back of the house by following the kitchen closing checklist Assist with food prep during off-peak periods as needed Perform other duties as assigned by upper management JOB REQUIREMENTS No baking experience is necessary Food Handlers Permit Who We Are No one would have pegged the two brothers from a hard-working, blue-collar area of Detroit for restaurant owners, but that's exactly what they are.
