Duties and Responsibilities:

The Human Resource Manager role will include supporting all company employees including Gastroenterology, Pathology, and Endoscopy Center staff. The HR Manager will maintain a professional and supportive relationship with all staff and will work closely with the Administrator in carrying out functions such as benefits administration, employee relations, compliance training, onboarding, employment exit, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for all aspects of OSHA, HIPAA, and Compliance programs; oversee all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the practice/organization's privacy policies in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.

The Human Resource Manager will also be responsible for credentialing: clinician applications, submitting, tracking, and maintaining until completed.

HR Responsibilities

  • Maintain, make recommendations, and provide training on policies and procedures for the practice.
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job descriptions for all positions in Endoscopy, Pathology, and Gastroenterology.
  • Maintains historical human resource records by maintaining a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records. Maintains records of employee attestations and compliance records with HR Assistant.
  • Assigns and coordinates pre-employment drug screenings and background checks for selected employees.
  • Coordinates the hiring process including communication with hiring managers, posting and updating positions, and maintaining records of applicants as required by law.
  • Conducts regular HR record audits to ensure compliance in areas such as I-9 employment verification.
  • Participates in the pre-screening interview process with hiring managers to ensure employment law compliance with HR Assistant.
  • Establishes maintains and implements an onboarding protocol for new hire employees. Provides clear instruction and outlines expectations to new-hire employees regarding the onboarding process. Prepares employees by conducting orientation and coordinating assignments to the appropriate department. Ensure all new hire employees have access to appropriate programs, log-in access, and email.
  • Maintains organization with staff by establishing a recruiting, pre-screening, and interviewing program; communicating with managers on candidate selection; participating in the exit process
  • Participates in the exit process for terminated employees and ensures that access, email, and any other property of GPGI is surrendered; communicates with appropriate parties to terminate access to any electronic information.
  • Coordinates and updates self and managerial evaluation documentation paperwork for annual reviews.
  • Maintains employee benefits programs; coordinates educational programs on benefit programs.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements with the HR Assistant.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures and employee handbook
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and representing the company
  • Maintains documents and files all Worker's Compensation injuries and follow-up care.

    Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor's degree in a clinical or related field or the equivalent number of years of experience in a healthcare role required
    • Three years of management experience required
    • Highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage time
    • Ability to resolve issues in a positive manner
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to compile, interpret and utilize information; and to communicate effectively with people of all demographics and education levels
    • High level of initiative, self-starter, and independent
    • Ability to think critically and be attentive to detail
    • Prior Human Resource experience required
    • 2 + years of credentialing/enrollment experience
    • Well organized and have excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to solve problems and reason deduction
