Summary of Position- The Materials Controller serves as a dual-role
logistics and procurement support specialist. Primarily acting as
the designated backup to the Purchasing Agent for time-critical
AOG, OTC, and Work Order management while simultaneously managing
daily logistics operations, including FAA receiving inspections,
material routing, and company shipping. Additionally, you will be
responsible for overseeing core inventory control, ensuring timely
vendor returns and deposit recovery, while maintaining proactive
communication with management and customers regarding global
delivery status. Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Completes
incoming parts and material receiving inspections in accordance
with FAA guidelines and routes the received material to the
appropriate end-user or stock room location. Provides updates to
managers on delivered parts. Acts as the designated backup to the
Purchasing Agent, maintaining seamless operational continuity for
Work Order, OTC, and AOG parts sales. Assumes full responsibility
for time-critical global deliveries, expedited shipping, and direct
customer tracking updates to ensure zero service interruptions.
Completes company shipping and receiving tasks to ensure timely
delivery of parts and materials and provides tracking information
to the management team. Maintains inventory of stock and calibrated
tooling. Supports the Purchasing Agent by overseeing core inventory
control and logistics. Ensures the timely return of core units to
vendors, safeguarding deposit credits and maintaining account good
standing in the agent’s absence. Maintains a clean and orderly work
environment presenting a professional appearance. Maintains job
proficiency by fully participating in the company training and
continuous improvement programs. Ensure daily communication to
internal and external customers to ensure interdepartmental
coordination and support delivery schedule. Performance of other
duties as assigned and/or outlined by management. Knowledge, Skills
& Abilities- Must be computer literate and knowledgeable of the MS
Office suite of applications and database usage. Ability to remain
focused and see projects through to completion with continuous
updates to supervisor is required. Proficiency in EBIS or
comparable similar platforms is a plus. Education & Experience-
High School diploma required. Must be able to read, write, and
speak fluently in English. Valid U.S. state-issued driver’s license
is required. Minimum 12-month parts handling experience preferred,
but not required. This is an entry level position with on-the-job
training. Schedule & Travel- A typical work schedule includes five
8-hour workdays weekly. Overtime may be required to include nights,
weekends, and holidays to support the needs of the organization.
Travel is not usually required. Miscellaneous- FLSA Status:
Full-time non-exempt Position may require FAA-mandated drug and
alcohol employment screening. Much of each shift will be performed
while standing or walking and includes reaching overhead, bending,
and lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work in
all types of weather conditions. U.S. work authorization is a
precondition of employment. Applicants must be authorized to work
for ANY employer in the U.S, both now and at all future times. We
