Program Objective The Shipping Management Program (SMP) is a 24?month program designed for recent college graduates who are eager to start a meaningful career in global trade. You’ll gain hands?on experience working alongside industry experts at OOCL, supported by a dedicated mentor throughout the program. This is a unique opportunity to build foundational knowledge of the international shipping and supply chain industry while developing leadership and operational skills. Program Structure Over the course of 24 months, you’ll progress in three 8?month rounds, immersing yourself in three of OOCL’s eight core departments, including: Customer Service Operations Sales By the end of the program, you’ll have a well?rounded understanding of the ocean transportation industry and the OOCL Group. Upon completion, you may transition into a department where you demonstrate strong performance and long?term potential, paving the way for a successful career in global trade/international business. Program Details Duration: 24 months (Three 8?month rotations) Start Dates: Multiple start dates; first start date in April Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (local time) Work Arrangement: Onsite in each office location Locations: South Jordan, UT; Charleston, SC; Vancouver, BC What We’re Looking For Ideal candidates are recent graduates (2024–2026) with the following preferred majors: Global Supply Chain Management Operations & Supply Chain Management International Business / International Trade / International Relations Global Trade Economics Business Management Other Business?related majors We’re seeking individuals who are: Interested in global trade, logistics, and international business Eager to learn and grow in a dynamic, global environment Strong communicators who enjoy problem solving and collaboration Requirements Bachelor’s degree (preferably in one of the majors listed above) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook required, Power BI preferred) Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to work onsite full time Benefits Medical & dental premiums 100% company paid Optional vision insurance 401(k) AND pension plan Paid Time Off Sick Time Off Paid Personal Days in addition to PTO Major holidays paid Tuition Assistance after 12 months Employee Assistance Program Referral bonus All employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
