Job Description Job Title: Member Consultant I Location: Sandy
Office (8765 South State Street) Status: Full Time (FT) Position
Purpose Responsible for providing an OUTSTANDING member phone
experience. Responsible for handling calls in a prompt and
courteous manner with a focus on providing a solution to member
needs. Acts as a liaison between members and other departments to
insure quick and easy resolutions to member questions and problems
regarding accounts, payments, products, and services. Responsible
for resolving credit and debit card issues for members and updating
appropriate systems. Acts as a resource for other employees to help
them meet member needs and provide an OUTSTANDING member
experience. Strengthens the relationship with members by
cross-selling additional products and services. Essential Duties,
Skills & Abilities Exhibit outstanding member services skills by
applying Granite Credit Union Service Commitments and Core Values.
Receives member telephone questions and concerns in a professional
manner. Uses problem solving skills to create an outstanding member
phone experience. Communicates with other departments to insure
prompt resolution of member inquiries. Uses a wide base of Credit
Union knowledge to meet member needs promptly and accurately.
Performs basic maintenance functions on accounts. Maintains
accurate records and reports. Maintains and projects the Credit
Union's professional reputation. Provides basic information to
members on accounts, orders, payments, products, and services.
Provides general information to customers on Credit Union policies,
procedures, and programs. Actively and professionally builds
relationships by cross selling Credit Union products and services.
Completes research and resolves documentation errors or
discrepancies. Attend meetings as required. Basic computer
operating skills such as email, Microsoft Office, etc. Experience
Required Knowledge and Skills At least one year of customer service
experience. Six months to one year of financial institution
experience. Excellent communication and public relations skills.
Ability to work well under pressure. Education High School Diploma
