Responsibilities
Performs supply chain and logistics functions, which may include,
but are not limited to, inventory control, sourcing (direct and MRO
spend), vendor selection, sterilization operations, production
planning, and finished goods distribution.
Creates integrated processes among internal functions such as
operations and outside suppliers. Owns the Supply Review portion of
IBP (Integrated Business planning).
Focuses resources on continuous improvement of the movement of
materials through various production processes and establishes key
performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain
planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on
a regular basis
Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer
needs and requirements throughout the organization.
Develops financial and operational objectives and applies expertise
to achieve those objectives while ensuring operational plans are
aligned with business objectives.
Influences and partners with Mfg. Operations department leaders on
production schedules based on product introduction, equipment
efficiency, materials supply, staffing resources, and volume
required to meet demand and to ensure maximum production quantity
and quality.
Promote a Safety first, Quality always culture
Provide safe working environment to prevent employees from
injury
Ensure ongoing safety and GMP training occurs at all levels of the
organization
Ensure accident investigation procedures are followed and
re-enforce safety audits
Institute policies to minimize environmental waste
Actively sponsor a 'Zero Loss' mindset through BD's Production
System and act as a designated team sponsor for one of the
component teams
Plan and establish yearly department budget for all activities and
controls within the department
Lead and conduct quarterly skip-level meetings, monthly safety
meetings, weekly staff meetings to ensure alignment of operating
plans to business strategy
Facilitate discussions with your team members, linking career
paths, training, and development plans to individual needs and
career interests.
Provide growth and development opportunities for employees by
providing calibrated performance reviews, training, coaches, and
succession planning
Oversee all aspects of the annual Supply Plan which includes
inventory, build, and sterilization plans for business.
Manages the overall logistical movement and control of finished
goods, including inbound, inter-plant and outbound shipments,
inventory management, warehouse operations and transportation.
Work closely with the Plant and Department Manager(s) to ensure
adequate capacity planning, material availability and inventory
strategy to meet the business plan.
Drive consensus in resolving supply constraints and provide
operational support and guidance to ensure maximum productivity
with the plant, platform teams, and category managers.
Serve as Site process owner for Demand and Supply Chain
Planning.
Measure operational KPIs, standardize, and follow up with action
plans to improve/sustain performance- including 3PL coordination &
expense control
Provide strategic cross-functional collaboration with Sales,
Operations, Quality and Customer Service to ensure team alignment
and execute strategic planning initiatives.
Ensure that business continuity plans are in place and
sustainability turns into a differentiator for BD as part of the
strategy.
Comply with all GMP, regulatory and ISO guidelines, including
company policies and departmental procedures.
Member of the Plant Leadership Team dealing with all site-wide
issues/opportunities. Set strategic direction for the site.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Minimum required: Bachelor's in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations
Management, Business or other related discipline.
Preferred: Master's in Business Administration, Supply Chain,
Global Operations Management, or other related discipline.
Essential Functions:

Experience:
Minimum 7 years of broad experience managing cycle count inventory
and tracking status of back order, inventory turns and inventory
aging. Preferably in a 24/7 manufacturing environment of Medical
Devices.
Minimum 3 years as a people leader or supervisory capacity.
Preferably in a matrixed organization that required influencing
without direct authority.
Experience in production planning and control and multi-commodity
purchasing.
Budgetary experience required.
Project Leadership preferred.

the materials from supplier and ending at providing the final
product to the customers.

individual prepares, equips and supports oneself and others to
successfully adopt change in order to drive organizational success
and outcomes.
