Senior Database Administration Analyst Are you passionate about Database Administration?Are you innovative and look for ways to improve processes?About the Role The Senior Database Administrator Analyst will perform physical and logical database administration functions as required for Application to Sustain Services. ResponsibilitiesAssisting in analyzing, performance tuning and maintain test and production databases.Performing database support in MS SQL Server environments. Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.Displaying skills with Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.Demonstrating High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server. Performing implementing operational automation using scripts. Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.Proposing database changes to ease monitoring and administrative effort. Documenting and implementing changes to databases via proper Change Management methodology.Monitoring and analyzing database activity to proactively identify and prevent potential Incidents and recommend performance improvements. Participating in situation management of incidents related to database operations.Ensuring integrity of all database components, e.g. Table definitions, structure definitions, statistic and indexes status etc. Reporting and remediating all security violations.Understanding tuning utilities and reports. For example SQL trace, System Monitor, Activity Monitor, Database Engine Tuning Advisor and MS Service Pack patching procedure etc.Evaluating new RDMBS technology with the objective to improve the quality of database administrative tasks. Requirements8+ years of SQL Server database administration and design with extensive T-SQL tuning experience.Possess knowledge of Windows scripting and basic SQL server and connectivity troubleshooting skillsPossess communication, decision making, interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills. Able to work under pressure and take responsibility during situation management. Ability to carry out on call duties as scheduled.Experience working with multiple versions of SQL server: individually, in parallel, and using cross-server connectivityExperience creating, configuring, monitoring, managing, and remediating SQL Server in on-prem VM and physical scenarios. Experience creating, configuring, monitoring, managing, and remediating SQL Server on Azure VMsExperience setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting MSDTC. Experience with SQL encryption processes and proceduresExperience Installing, configuring, monitoring, and managing SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups. Experience with migrating SQL server data from on-prem to an Azure environment. Experience performing data migrations from older SQL versions to newer versions on separate systems.Display effective written and oral communication with team members and workers from other teams. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated salary range for this role is $80.080 - $104,000.
